About Rudy's Dog Park

Rudy’s Dog Park will be a leash free dog park located on the corner of East County Road 300 North and North County Road 100 East which is located on the outskirts of Warsaw in Kosciusko County, Indiana. The intent of the park is to provide a safe, fun environment for dogs and their owners to socialize and exercise. The vision for the property is that it will be a destination that will foster community interaction with the focus on healthy dog activities. In addition to the dog parks, a small adjacent area is planned to facilitate various community activities yet to be defined, that would attract people and help fund the park’s maintenance. The long term vision includes if possible the construction of a community building on the northwest corner in the latter phases of construction. This building would be available to rent for community based activities.

The park will consist of 4 separate fenced-in areas: two for dogs of all sizes and two for small dogs. Two of the four areas will have access to a two acre pond. The pond will have two beach areas for access (one all dog and one small dog beach) and a pier for ‘pier-jumping’. Crushed stone roads and parking will be developed on the property. The fenced-in areas will include watering stations, weather shelters, benches and tree landscaping. The dog park will require all animals to be licensed, well behaved, and up to date on vaccinations. Owners will be charged a nominal annual fee that will allow key card entry into the park during hours of operation. The hours of operations will be dawn to dusk. The management of the membership for the short term will be undertaken by Lake City Animal Clinic however, the park will need a permanent part time employee to oversee operations and management as soon as it’s financially feasible.
